Jason is a seasoned venture capital advisor with a cross-continental footprint, directly advising over 50 technology companies across Africa. Prior to his Nairobi practice, he held senior roles at global firms such as Kronos and Oracle and has taught at MIT, bringing both corporate and academic perspectives to his advisory.
Jason enriches our Technology, Media & Telco (TMT) and Corporate & Commercial Law offerings. His expertise in investment structuring, scaling strategies, and governance enables our clients, especially tech startups, and growing enterprises to navigate legal and business challenges in alignment with investor benchmarks and regional market dynamics.

Samuel is a dedicated legal trainee at the firm with a strong passion for Commercial Law, Intellectual Property and Technology Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). In addition to his legal expertise, he possesses skills in graphic design and web development, showcasing his versatility in both law and technology.
Samuel’s commitment to the legal industry is evident in his participation in moot competitions, both internally and externally, as well as his involvement in the Law Society of Kenya’s Legal Awareness Week and Legal Clinics at Embu Prison Facility, demonstrating his dedication to pro bono work and community service.
Beyond his legal career, Samuel enjoys reading history and comedy, acting in theatre productions, writing comedy plays and narratives, and cycling. His diverse interests reflect his creativity and passion for both the arts and legal advocacy.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Embu, where he gained a broad understanding of various legal disciplines.
Joseph is a legal trainee at the firm and is passionate about constitutional law, commercial law, and tax law. Joseph has gained valuable experience working at the firm, where he has honed his skills in conducting legal research and writing, as well as drafting of commercial agreements. He also possesses excellent interpersonal skills, enabling him to provide exceptional client care and management.
Joseph’s dedication to legal research is evident through his publication by the University of Nairobi Law Journal as well as his participation in various moot competitions, both internal and external, including the All-Kenya Moot Court Competition and the Strathmore Tax Hackathon moot court competition.
Outside of work, Joseph enjoys reading nonfiction, watching nature documentaries, and playing football. His well-rounded interests and passion for the law make him an excellent choice for our client’s matters.
He is currently awaiting graduation from the University of Nairobi.

She combines technical precision with commercial awareness, ensuring that agreements and frameworks are both legally robust and aligned with clients’ strategic objectives.
Bildad is an Associate in the firm’s Dispute Resolution practice, with a focus on handling complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters. He advises and represents clients across divers sectors including employment & labour relations, commercial contracts, technology, media and environment & land related disputes.
Bildad is recognized for thorough case preparation, strong courtroom advocacy, and strategic problem-solving, helping clients resolve disputes efficiently while safeguarding both financial and reputational interests.
Haizel is a result driven and strategic thinking Finance and Accounting professional with adequate experience, having demonstrated the ability to; provide key financial data, execute accounting roles, manage operations and prepare detailed budgets.
She possesses over 6 years extensive experience in financial accounting, tax management, asset management and executing office administrative duties.
She is an effective communicator and relationship-builder with superior detail orientation who gathers and imparts information effectively across all management, department, and discipline levels and engenders a collaborative spirit, consistently resulting in extraordinary outcomes.
Maryann is a skilled associate at the firm with expertise in constitutional and human rights law, employment law, succession law, and international law. She is committed to delivering strategic and client-focused legal solutions while advocating with integrity and professionalism.
Beyond legal practice, Maryann is an active contributor to legal scholarship and advocacy. She co-authored Mental Health and the Criminal Justice System and served as an editor for the East Africa Law Society Journal of Human Rights. With a strong passion for legal research and mooting, she has refined her advocacy skills, earning accolades such as “Best Female Oralist”.
Maryann is deeply invested in mentorship and capacity building within the legal community. She serves as a national judge for prestigious moot competitions, including the Jessup International Moot, where she mentors aspiring legal professionals. She is also an active member of Amnesty International, working on human rights campaigns and policy reform, She also partners with Amnesty International in legal aid clinics, offering pro bono legal support to marginalized communities.
Maryann holds an LL.B. from Kabarak University and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) and the Kenya Christian Lawyers Fellowship (KCLF).

Muga combines deep experience in high-value transactions with expertise in ESG, environmental regulation, and climate finance, enabling clients to structure projects that safeguard financial, legal, and reputational interests while delivering long-term value for both investors and communities.
He also has extensive experience in aviation, telecommunications, real estate, and financial services, acting for multinational corporations, and investors on market entry, complex structuring, and dispute resolution.
